Breathe Function Thrive Ethics Policy
Last Modified on 31st of December 2024
Introduction
Breathe Function Thrive is passionate about creating healthier happier humans who function, feel, sleep & breathe better. We champion clinical excellence and precision medicine by local licensed professionals who have undergone years of rigorous education and training to provide exceptional patient care. We recognize and want to safeguard each student’s investment in their schooling, as well as our advanced training, and the tools and techniques they license from Breathe Function Thrive.
Healthcare is changing rapidly, and with the rise of social media, it seems anyone is sharing anything and everything online. To address this, we developed our Ethics Policy, drawing on standards established by the AMA, APTA, AOTA, ASHA, and similar organizations. This policy establishes clear boundaries and promotes ethical practices to protect the integrity of licensed professionals, reinforce public trust, and highlight the critical importance of individualized assessments and treatments provided by qualified practitioners. Breathe Function Thrive PLLC is dedicated to upholding this Ethics Policy and aims to educate, support, and collaborate with others who share a commitment to these principles.
Confidentiality and Privacy: We work to protect personal information and manage identifiable patient information. Even with consent, we seek to avoid oversharing.
Professionalism & Respectful Communication: We strive to maintain professionalism in our interactions in-person, online and on social media and interact respectfully with patients colleagues and other professionals.
Accuracy of Information: To the best of our ability, we work to ensure that the information we share is accurate.
Boundaries: We endeavor to maintain clear boundaries between personal and professional online identities.
Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: We are mindful in disclosing potential conflicts of interest including financial relationships, sponsorships, or endorsements, etc.
Promotion of the Profession: We seek to use in-person, online and social media platforms to engage in positive dialogue, educate the public, foster professional development, and encourage precision medicine with individualized assessment and treatment by licensed professionals in their state or local communities.
Scope of Practice: We believe professionals should work and engage in ways that are in harmony with their professional licensure, and as determined by their state, country, or licensing entity.
Legal Compliance: We intend to abide by all relevant laws and regulations including ethical conduct and honoring legal agreements, copyright, and intellectual property.
Review Team
Our Review Team ensures alignment with the Ethics Policy and Participant and Licensing Agreements by thoroughly evaluating applications, asking clarifying questions, and addressing concerns collaboratively. We aim to provide fair, thoughtful evaluations of each applicant’s adherence to our guiding principles.
If there are questions or concerns, Breathe Function Thrive will work with those applicants to find a mutually satisfactory resolution. If this is not achieved, the applicant may appeal the decision within 10 business days of receiving the outcome. The appeal will be reviewed by a senior member of our Review Team, and their decision will be final.
This Ethics Policy will be regularly reviewed and updated as appropriate.
